The neighborhood
Overview:
The Eixample district not only is the most iconic in Barcelona, but it’s also the most diverse in terms of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. The grid-like layout is the symbol of the sunny and modern Barcelona we know today.
Eixample is one of the most dynamic and comfortable areas to live in Barcelona. Mainly because there’s always a restaurant, shop, supermarket or bar at walking distance.
The Eixample is also famous for having one of the most dynamic shopping districts in the city. Passeig de Gràcia, Plaça Catalunya and Diagonal Avenue have the most exclusive shops, where you can shop till you drop and some of the most impressive monuments of Barcelona, such as Sagrada Familia , Casa Milà-La Pedrera , Casa Batlló and Casa de les Punxes.
Getting around:
The area around the apartment is very well connected to the rest of the city due to the excellent transport systems of Metro, Busses, and Tram. The nearest metro stations are Verdaguer (L4, L5) and Girona (L4).
If you travel to Barcelona by plane you can use the following description coming to the apartment. The fastest way to get to the apartment is by taxi, we can help you book one if needed. You can also come with the A1 to Plaza Espanya and transfer to L3 Plaza Espanya station to Passeig de Gracia , then you are 10min walking to the apartment, easy as that!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt bei María. Das Airbnb ist größer als auf den Fotos vermutet und die Aufteilung ist perfekt für größere Gruppen. Fußläufig sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichbar aber auch zur Bahn sind es nur 5 Minuten. Wir würden auf jedenfall wiederkommen und bedanken uns für die Gastfreundschaft :)

Marias communication was super efficient and timely.
The flat is even more beautiful than in the pictures. Fully kitted out for everything you will need.
The location is just perfect, very central to all places of interest so you are never too far from where you want to go. The metro station is just around the corner too.
We loved the market right opposite to the building. Yes el mercado de la boqueria is nice and big but it’s just so full of tourists, so this one is just a little hidden gem.
Overall we had a great family reunion which was topped up by the street party right outside making the whole atmosphere so much cheerful.

The apartment is in a good location, close to a few attractions, a bus stop, and a metro station.
Check-in
We arrived in Barcelona before the official check-in time but the host allowed us to keep our luggage in the apartment. The check-in process was smooth and efficient.
The Space
The apartment is tastefully furnished and it has a good vibe to it. Everything was sparkling clean and the host is kind enough to provide 2 towels for each guest. The strong wifi and Netflix subscription was a good bonus
